Capabilities and expertise
What we run day-to-day for buyers in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir and across TR — ten printing technologies, one hundred-plus catalogue SKUs, multi-language project management, EU export with EUR.1 / A.TR, KDV 20% e-Fatura invoicing.
What we actually produce
The short version: we organise corporate merch production for buyers who need textile printing, paper goods, drinkware, electronics and gift sets produced in or near İstanbul and shipped to TR addresses or exported under EUR.1 / A.TR. The longer version is that ten printing technologies and one hundred-plus SKUs sit behind that summary, and the buyer usually only needs a couple of them — the work is matching the SKU and the method to the brief, then running it through a partner factory that already carries the right audits. See the full certifications list.
Our project managers sit in İstanbul (Levent, Maslak and Ataşehir are the usual coffee-shop meeting points), with a small extension team in Ankara for public-sector buyers near Bakanlıklar and Kızılay, and a satellite in İzmir for Aegean-export runs to Rotterdam and Hamburg. The language mix is TR-native with EN/RU for international procurement; we have run welcome-kit programmes for delegations from Borsa İstanbul (BIST) members and for embassies in the Çankaya diplomatic quarter without any translation gaps.
Ten printing technologies we keep in-house
1. Silkscreen (water-based and plastisol). The workhorse for cotton totes, shoppers, sweatshirts and aprons. Water-based for OEKO-TEX and GOTS substrates (no solvent-leaking plasticiser), plastisol for heavy-duty industrial launderable programmes. Up to 6 spot Pantone per layout.
2. Sublimation. For polyester apparel, ceramic mugs, glassware and aluminium photo panels. Polyester items must be 100% poly or poly-rich blends; the print is part of the substrate, so it never peels.
3. UV printing. For acrylic keychains, plastic bottles, phone stands, branded USB shells and outdoor signage panels. Cures under UV light, holds Pantone within Delta-E ≤ 2.5.
4. Laser engraving. For anodised aluminium (Hip flask, metal pen shells, power bank bodies), wood (wooden pen bodies, walnut notebooks, bamboo cutting boards) and coated metals. Permanent and high-contrast.
5. Embroidery. For polo shirts, caps, robes, towels and aprons. Single-head Tajima for short runs; multi-head for 1,000+ runs. Up to 12 thread colours per design.
6. DTF (Direct-to-Film). For complex multicolour designs on cotton and poly blends; the print is pressed onto the garment with adhesive powder. Good for one-offs and 200-piece naming personalisation.
7. DTG (Direct-to-Garment). For full-colour photographic designs on light-coloured cotton. Slower than DTF but more economical on photo-realistic artwork.
8. Pad-print. For small-format plastic items — compact mirrors, combs, lip balm shells, earbud cases. Up to 4 spot colour per layout.
9. Hot-foil stamping. For premium packaging, certificate folders, business card holders and presentation boxes. Rose gold, silver, matte black, holographic foil.
10. Debossing. For leather patches, leather notebooks, leatherette coasters. Blind deboss or foil-foil-debris for two-tone effects.
We also run embossing (raised, opposite of deboss) on paper stocks — certificate holders, swing tags and premium boxes. Each technology has a different MOQ profile; we always propose the cheapest technology that meets the durability and colour-tolerance spec rather than the most expensive.
Catalogue SKUs — one hundred-plus, organised by category
The catalogue is organised by category, not by factory. Apparel (cotton T-shirts, organic cotton shoppers, polyester polos, sweatshirts, hoodies, hi-vis vests, chef aprons, caps), drinkware (ceramic mugs, glass tumblers, double-wall stainless bottles, copper-lined vacuum flasks, recycled aluminium bottles, borosilicate glass coffee flasks), paper and stationery (notebooks, A5/A6, hard-cover and soft-cover, recycled paper, FSC-certified stocks, certificate holders, packaging sleeves), electronics (USB drives, wireless chargers, power banks, Bluetooth speakers, phone stands), bags (canvas tote, rPET shopper, jute bag, cooler bag, drawstring backpack, laptop sleeve), gift sets (saxophone mug-and-notebook sets, pen-and-notebook sets, eco pen-and-flowers set, premium welcome boxes), home and office (mats, mugs, paperweights, coasters, keychains, lapel pins), and event material (lanyards, wristbands, badges, pull-up banners, table runners).
Every SKU has a documented house plan, run quantity, MOQ profile, lead time, Pantone tolerance, OEKO-TEX or other test status. Buyers do not need to know which factory makes what; they specify the brief and we match.
Multi-language project management
TR-native project managers handle every programme; EN/RU/DE support is in-house without external agencies. We have run welcome-kit programmes for delegations from Borsa İstanbul (BIST) members, for embassies in the Çankaya diplomatic quarter, and for international buyers from EU procurement teams (German, Dutch, French, Italian). All correspondence, briefs and approvals are kept in the buyer's preferred language; we do not rely on machine-translated boilerplate.
For larger programmes (1,000+ units or multi-city delivery across İstanbul, İzmir, Bursa, Antalya, Adana, Konya, Gaziantep, Mersin, Kayseri, Eskişehir, Trabzon) the project manager is supported by a logistics lead and a finance lead, with weekly written status updates in the buyer's preferred channel (email, Telegram, WhatsApp). Briefs and approvals are stored on the shared workspace, signed in writing before serial production.
EU export logistics — EUR.1, EUR-MED, A.TR
For shipments leaving TR, the document chain matters more than the freight cost. We issue EUR.1 at the local Gümrük Müdürlüğü for standard TR-EU Customs Union movements, EUR-MED for Pan-Euro-Mediterranean cumulation (Mısır, Ürdün, Fas, Tunus), and A.TR for industrial goods moving under the Turkey-EU Association Council Decision 1/95. We do not push back on which certificate is required for which destination — the buyer's customs broker usually dictates that, and we coordinate the export declaration accordingly.
Freight options: road to Sofia, Bucharest, Athens, Milan and Berlin in 4-7 days via our partner freight forwarders; sea combined for the larger or non-urgent shipments to Rotterdam, Hamburg and Genoa. Yurtiçi Kargo, Aras Kargo, MNG Kargo and Sürat Kargo handle domestic TR distribution; we coordinate multi-location delivery with flat per-address surcharge for split shipping.
Tax and invoicing — KDV 20% via e-Fatura
All TR-resident invoices are issued via e-Fatura with KDV 20% standard rate. KDV 10% reduced applies to most food-and-beverage SKUs (snack boxes, certain drinkware programmes linked to F&B channels); KDV 1% super-reduced applies to a small subset of agricultural and food items. Reduced rates are listed in the relevant KDV tebliği; we apply them in consultation with the buyer's finance team. For EU export, the invoice is tax-free (KDV 0%) with EUR.1 attached; for non-EU export, the relevant KDV iade process is initiated on the buyer's request.
Payment terms for TR-resident buyers: 50% deposit on order confirmation, 50% on delivery, by bank transfer in TRY. Recurring clients can move to 30-day or 45-day net terms after three completed orders. For international buyers (EU, MENA, UK): 30% deposit, 70% against shipping documents, in EUR / USD / GBP. We do not run e-Fatura for cross-border buyers unless explicitly requested for a TR-resident subsidiary.
Industries and buyer profiles
Startups (5-50)
First-time merch buyer with a 50-200 unit run for a launch event or a hiring push. The work is hospitality special: we guide them to the affordable, durable SKUs (cotton shoppers, memoised pieces, ceramic mugs, recycled notebooks) and explain why the cheapest sustainability solution wins.
Mid-market (50-500)
HR or marketing-led buyer with a recurring need: welcome kits, trade-show swag, loyalty gifts. 200-2,000 unit runs per quarter. We propose a small SKU catalogue they can pull from on demand.
Enterprise (500+)
Procurement-led buyer with formal RFPs, audit requirements and volume contracts. Multi-location delivery across TR, multi-language project management, EUR.1 export.
Government and public sector
Public procurement buyer via EKAP. KİK-based specifications, GTS-issued certifications, multi-year framework contracts. Compliance with KDV tebliği and SGK payroll.
Diplomatic missions
Embassy or consulate buyer with welcome kits, national day commemorative conveyers and protocol-grade gift sets. Multi-language coordination; VAT-free under Article 13 of the KDV kanunu for qualifying entities.
Borsa İstanbul (BIST) listed groups
Investor relations and AGM merch. For public-discourse sustainability reporting, we coordinate GOTS transaction certificates and chain-of-custody paperwork in time for the group's ESG report filing.
What we will not pretend to be
We are not a single factory with a grand production line. We are an independent production partner that runs programmes through audited partner factories. We do not pretend to be the manufacturer; we say who made the goods and provide the certificate. We do not pretend to be a certification body; we issue certificates from accredited third parties (TÜV, SGS, Intertek, Control Union, ICEA, ECOCERT) and stand by them. We do not pretend to be a logistics provider; we work with partner carriers and freight forwarders. The transparency is the point — buyers can verify everything we say on the record.
Frequently asked questions
What is the smallest run you accept?
50 units for standard apparel and paper; 30 for premium SKUs. Smaller runs are accepted at proportionally higher unit cost. We do not run one-offs through this channel; for sampling, we run a paid strike-off (3-7 working days).
What is the largest run you have done?
40,000-piece programme for a TR retail loyalty campaign; 8,000-piece conference bag programme across two years for a BIST-listed group. We work with the partner factory to scale up; multi-factory split possible for very large programmes.
How do you handle Pantone accuracy?
Water-based pigment screen print holds within Delta-E 2.5 of the brand book on cotton, canvas and poly. Embroidery holds PMS within Delta-E 3 on most threads. Strike-off sample is mandatorily approved in writing before serial production.
Can you handle rush orders?
Yes. Rush 3 working days plus 35% surcharge for in-stock blank + silkscreen/UV. Rush 5-7 working days plus 20% surcharge for cut-and-sew + print. No rush orders for embroidery on cut-and-sew items (loom lead time is fixed).
Do you offer design help?
We can adapt buyer-provided artwork for print (Pantone separation, sizing, mock-up). We do not create logos or brand identities — buyers provide brand-book artwork. For mock-ups and 3D renders, we charge per render.
Is merch.org.tr affiliated with any specific brand or certification body?
No. We are an independent production partner. We work with accredited third-party certification bodies and partner factories; we do not represent them or speak for them.
