Glitter print for corporate merch in Türkiye

Glitter print is the sparkle-finish decoration method behind event merchandise, holiday campaigns and youth-segment apparel programs. This page covers how glitter ink is applied, which substrates it suits, the colour range, and where glitter print earns its place on a corporate merch brief.

What glitter print is and where it earns its place

Glitter print uses a screen-printable ink that carries fine reflective glitter particles — typically 0.008" to 0.040" polyester or metallic glitter — suspended in a clear or pigmented base. The ink is printed through a screen, cured on the substrate, and leaves a sparkly, textured finish that catches light at every angle. The visual effect is unmistakable — a glittery mark that reads as a celebration or a premium accent.

Glitter print earns its place on event merchandise (festivals, runs, concerts, holiday campaigns), youth-segment apparel (fashion, music, gaming), premium packaging accents (cosmetic boxes, beauty packaging, holiday gift wrap), and corporate campaigns where the brand wants to project energy, fun or seasonal celebration. It is rarely used as a primary corporate decoration because the textured surface is too informal for most executive contexts.

In Türkiye, glitter ink is mixed in our Levent studio from glitter stocks sourced from European suppliers. We hold over 30 stock glitter colours including silver, gold, holographic, iridescent, multicolor and neon variants. Specialty custom glitter blends are available with 7-10 working day lead times.

Substrates and product fit

Cotton, poly-cotton, polyester, fleece and most flat-weave fabrics accept glitter ink cleanly. The fabric must be stable enough to hold the print without distortion; very stretchy knits may show some glitter loss around the edges after wear and washing. We work with mills in Bursa, İzmir and Kahramanmaraş for the apparel blank supply.

On apparel, glitter print is most commonly used on promotional tees, event shirts, holiday sweaters, festival merchandise, kids' apparel and accessories like tote bags and bandanas. The dimensional glitter catches light and reads as a tactile, premium accent on heavyweight garments.

On paper and packaging, glitter ink is used on premium business cards, holiday cards, cosmetic packaging, beauty boxes and gift wrap. The glitter catches light differently than a flat printed mark and reads as a more celebratory finish. We test-print every new substrate on a sample before committing a production run.

Glitter colours and Pantone matching

Standard glitter colours include silver, gold, holographic, iridescent, multicolor (mixed-colour blends), pink, blue, green, red, copper, rose gold, black, white, and neon variants (yellow, orange, pink, green). The holographic and iridescent options shift colour under viewing angle and are the most popular for premium events.

For corporate logos with brand-precise Pantone matching, we mix a tinted glitter ink from a base silver or gold glitter and a colour pigment. The achievable Delta-E is typically 2-3 against a Pantone reference, which is acceptable for most brand applications but slightly wider than silkscreen.

Custom glitter blends — a specific mix of glitter shapes, sizes and colours — are available with 7-10 working day lead time from European suppliers. Custom blends are priced at a premium per kilogram and are typically justified only for very large programs or very specific brand requirements.

Run sizes, lead times and unit economics

Glitter print runs on the same silkscreen presses as standard apparel programs, with a dedicated glitter ink mixing station in Levent. Run sizes start at 30-50 units per design, with the per-unit price dropping meaningfully above 100 units. Below 30 units we usually suggest DTF with glitter film or CAD-cut holographic vinyl for cost reasons.

Lead time is 10-14 working days from written strike-off approval: 2-3 days for ink mixing and strike-off, 5-7 days for bulk production, 2-3 days for finishing and pack-out. Express 7-10 day turnarounds are available on repeat orders with held blanks.

For high-volume event programs (1,000+ pieces), we can sometimes suggest glitter print combined with a printed underlay — for example, a full-coverage coloured base followed by a glitter topcoat that lets the printed colour show through the sparkle. This is more cost-effective than two full glitter layers and reads as a more refined product.

Wash durability and care guidance

Glitter print, properly cured, survives 20-30 domestic wash cycles before visible glitter loss begins. The keys are correct cure temperature (160°C for 90 seconds in a conveyor dryer or 15 seconds in a heat press), even heat distribution, and waiting 24 hours before the first wash. We supply a care card with every glitter-printed apparel order: wash inside out at 30°C, line dry, do not iron directly on the print, do not dry-clean.

For uniform programs that go through industrial laundering, glitter print has a shorter service life than standard plastisol. We flag this at the brief stage and offer embroidery or standard silkscreen for heavy-duty uniform programs where glitter durability isn't sufficient.

For programs that need maximum durability on apparel, we sometimes suggest DTF with a glitter film rather than glitter ink. DTF with glitter film has a more durable glitter surface but is more expensive per piece than glitter ink.

Glitter combinations with other decoration methods

Glitter print combines cleanly with other decoration methods in a layered design. The most common corporate combinations are glitter logo over a printed underlay, glitter accent on an embroidered base, and glitter edge on a printed design. We walk each brief through the layering options at the design stage.

For programs that combine glitter print with embroidery (a glitter accent stitched to the edge of an embroidered logo, for example), we run the embroidery first and the glitter print second to ensure clean registration. The combination is more expensive than either method alone but reads as a much more premium product.

For programs that need maximum sparkle, we sometimes suggest a glitter base with a metallic foil highlight. The combination of glitter and foil is unmistakable on dark garments and reads as a high-impact decorative accent for events and celebrations.

Where we run glitter print in Türkiye

Glitter print production sits on the same silkscreen presses as our standard apparel programs in Başakşehir and İkitelli, with a dedicated glitter ink mixing station in Levent. Glitter stocks are sourced from European suppliers with consistent 7-10 working day replenishment cycles. Apparel blanks come from Bursa, Kahramanmaraş and İzmir partner mills.

For corporate programs delivered to İstanbul offices, Ankara government and diplomatic addresses, İzmir trade-show venues, and Antalya resort venues, we run hand-delivery for high-value orders and tracked road freight for larger volumes. For event merchandise programs delivered directly to venues, we offer pre-event courier delivery with setup support.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for glitter print?

Glitter print starts at 30-50 units per design. Below 30 units we usually suggest DTF with glitter film or CAD-cut holographic vinyl for cost reasons. The per-unit price drops meaningfully above 100 units.

How long does glitter print production take?

A standard 100-unit, two-colour corporate apparel order with one glitter colour takes 10-14 working days from written strike-off approval. Express 7-10 day turnarounds are available on repeat orders with held blanks.

Which substrates work with glitter print?

Cotton, poly-cotton, polyester, fleece and most flat-weave fabrics. On paper and packaging: coated paper from 150 GSM up, paperboard, recycled board. Very lightweight apparel below 150 GSM can feel stiff under the glitter ink.

Can glitter print match a corporate Pantone colour?

We mix tinted glitter ink from a base silver or gold glitter and a colour pigment. The achievable Delta-E is typically 2-3 against a Pantone reference. For brand-precise matches we suggest a strike-off on the production substrate.

Is glitter print as durable as standard silkscreen?

Glitter print survives 20-30 domestic wash cycles, compared to 50-100 for standard plastisol silkscreen. For uniform programs that go through industrial laundering, glitter print is not suitable — we recommend embroidery or standard silkscreen.

Is Corp-Merch a licensed glitter ink printer or officially accredited by any ink manufacturer?

We are an independent corporate merch decoration provider in Türkiye. We are not licensed, endorsed or accredited by any garment brand, glitter supplier or printing-equipment maker. Brand and product names are used to describe compatible substrates and decoration methods.
