Sublimation all-over print for corporate merch in Türkiye

Sublimation all-over print is the edge-to-edge dye-sublimation decoration method that covers the entire garment or panel with photographic detail, gradients, and seamless patterns. This page covers the technology, the substrate fit, the pattern library, and where all-over sublimation earns its place on a corporate merch brief.

What all-over sublimation is and how it produces edge-to-edge colour

Sublimation all-over print is the edge-to-edge variant of dye sublimation. The garment or panel is placed on a heat press, a printed sublimation paper is wrapped around it, and the press applies heat (typically 195-205°C) and pressure for 30-60 seconds. The dye in the paper sublimates — converts from solid to gas without passing through liquid — and bonds permanently with the polyester fibres across the entire surface of the garment.

Because the dye becomes part of the polyester fibre rather than sitting on top of it, all-over sublimation produces a print that has no hand-feel, has no surface deposit, and survives 100+ wash cycles. The print extends edge-to-edge across the garment, including seams, panels and curved areas, which is the visual hallmark of all-over sublimation. Photographic detail, gradients and seamless patterns reproduce with full CMYK colour fidelity.

The canonical article on dye sublimation is at /en/pages/printing/sublimation, which covers the technology, the substrates and the run economics in detail. This page focuses on the all-over variant — edge-to-edge coverage on full garments and panels.

Substrates and garment fit

All-over sublimation works only on polyester or poly-rich fabrics. White or light-coloured polyester is the workhorse substrate because the dye transfers cleanly to light colours and reproduces the full CMYK gamut. The fabric must be 100% polyester or at least 80% polyester for acceptable colour reproduction; lower polyester content gives pastel results because the cotton component doesn't accept the dye.

Common all-over garments: performance tees (140-180 GSM polyester), training jerseys (160-220 GSM polyester), running singlets (130-160 GSM polyester), yoga apparel (180-220 GSM polyester), leggings (180-220 GSM polyester), swimwear (180-220 GSM polyester with chlorine-resistant finish). The garments must be cut and sewn from polyester-rich fabric before sublimation.

Common all-over panels: hi-vis safety vests (polyester mesh with reflective trim), bandanas and headwear (polyester microfibre), flags and banners (polyester flag fabric), event backdrops (polyester stretch fabric), promotional flags (polyester knitted fabric).

Pattern library and design prep

All-over sublimation handles photographic detail, gradients and seamless patterns at full CMYK gamut. We accept vector artwork for logos, type and sharp geometric marks, and raster artwork at 300 DPI minimum for photographic imagery. The artwork is tiled to cover the entire garment panel with seamless edges so the print flows across seams.

Pattern libraries — corporate brand patterns, geometric repeats, photographic backgrounds, branded gradients — are produced by our Levent design studio. We supply a digital proof and a printed strike-off on the production fabric for written approval before the bulk run.

For corporate programs that need an all-over pattern that wraps a complex garment (a cycling jersey with side panels, a hoodie with sleeve and torso panels), the pattern is split into panel-specific files that align at the seams. The seam registration is critical — we test-press a sample garment before committing the bulk run.

Run sizes, lead times and unit economics

All-over sublimation is most economical on runs of 25-500 pieces per design. Below 25 pieces we usually suggest cut-and-sew sublimation from a partner facility in İzmir. Above 500 pieces we run the fully automated line at our İzmir partner facility.

Lead time is 7-15 working days for a typical corporate program: 1-3 days for design proofing, 1-2 days for paper printing, 3-7 days for garment cutting and sewing, 1-2 days for sublimation and finishing, 1-2 days for QC and pack-out. Repeat orders with held patterns drop to 5-10 working days.

For corporate buyers pricing out a program, the practical question is volume per design and the importance of edge-to-edge coverage. All-over sublimation is the only method that produces edge-to-edge photographic detail with no hand-feel; for any program where that visual is the goal, all-over wins.

Wash durability and care guidance

All-over sublimation survives 100+ domestic wash cycles before visible fading. The dye is in the polyester fibre rather than on top of it, so the print fades like the garment colour rather than cracking or peeling. This is the most durable apparel decoration method available for polyester garments.

Care guidance: wash inside out at 30-40°C with similar colours, line dry, do not iron directly on the print, do not dry-clean. We supply a care card with every all-over sublimation order.

For programs that need maximum wash durability — uniform programs, sports team kits, rental programs — all-over sublimation is the recommended method. The print survives 100+ cycles and the colours remain vibrant through industrial laundering at 60°C.

Where we run all-over sublimation in Türkiye

All-over sublimation production runs in our Levent studio for short runs and prototypes, and at our İzmir partner facility for production runs of 500+ pieces. Paper printing happens in-house on dry-ink sublimation printers. Garment blanks come from Bursa, İzmir and Kahramanmaraş partner mills that supply polyester-rich cut-and-sew apparel.

For corporate programs delivered to İstanbul offices, Ankara government and diplomatic addresses, İzmir trade-show venues, and Antalya resort venues, we run hand-delivery for high-value orders and tracked road freight for larger volumes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for all-over sublimation?

All-over sublimation is most economical on runs of 25-500 pieces per design. Below 25 pieces we usually suggest cut-and-sew sublimation from a partner facility. Above 500 pieces the per-piece price drops meaningfully at our İzmir partner facility.

How long does all-over sublimation production take?

A typical corporate program takes 7-15 working days: 1-3 days for design proofing, 3-7 days for garment cutting and sewing, 1-2 days for sublimation and finishing. Repeat orders with held patterns drop to 5-10 working days.

Which fabrics work with all-over sublimation?

All-over sublimation works only on polyester or poly-rich fabrics (above 80% polyester). Lower polyester content gives pastel results because the cotton component doesn't accept the dye.

Can all-over sublimation match a corporate Pantone colour?

All-over sublimation reaches Delta-E of 2-3 against a Pantone reference on most polyester substrates. For strict colour tolerance, pre-production strike-off on the production fabric is required.

Is all-over sublimation durable enough for uniform programs?

All-over sublimation survives 100+ domestic wash cycles. The dye is in the polyester fibre rather than on top of it, so the print fades like the garment colour rather than cracking or peeling.

Is Corp-Merch a licensed sublimation printer or officially accredited by any equipment manufacturer?

We are an independent corporate merch decoration provider in Türkiye. We are not licensed, endorsed or accredited by any garment brand, sublimation printer manufacturer or dye supplier. Brand and product names are used to describe compatible substrates and decoration methods.
