Badges for the legal sector (Cyprus)
Lapel pins, partner-recognition crests and AML-training badges for Cyprus law firms. Brass, hard enamel, debossed leather — MOQ 50, 10–14 day lead time, Limassol production.
Why this combination works
A lapel pin is the cheapest way to put a firm's mark on a partner's jacket without committing to a wearable gift that the partner will not use. Cyprus legal practice has three pin-formats in regular rotation: a 20 mm hard-enamel partner-recognition crest for senior-associate and partner cohorts (Nicosia full-service firms usually commission one at 30–60 pieces per cohort), a 25 mm brass stamped pin for AML/KYC and CLE training events (the Cyprus Bar Association runs a calendar of training events through Q1 and Q4 where member firms sponsor branded giveaways), and a debossed leather cloisonné for retiring partners — usually one piece, sometimes two.
Models and materials that fit
Partner-recognition crests run in 25 mm hard enamel with a polished brass or black nickel finish — €4.20–€5.40 per unit at 50 pieces, with a 5-day mould setup. AML/KYC training badges typically run a 20 mm stamped brass pin with a single Pantone enamel fill, €1.20–€1.80 per unit at 200 pieces. Retiring-partner and 25-year-cohort pieces are usually a debossed leather cloisonné (40 by 30 mm hide in vegetable-tanned leather on a brass pin back) at €12–€18 per unit at 25 pieces; lead time 14–18 days because the leather needs a pressing window.
Prints and branding approaches
Hard enamel is the legal-sector standard because the polished flat surface reads as restrained and corporate under a courtroom blazer. The pin is moulded to a 1.5 mm recessed face with a Pantone-matched enamel fill; we do not use soft enamel for legal pieces because the recessed face catches lint and reads as promotional. The metal finish stays in the brass / brushed-nickel / black-nickel family — gold plating is reserved for retiring-partner pieces only. For debossed leather cloisonnés, the wordmark sits at 80 by 35 mm in 24 pt Times, blind-debossed at 80°C and 30 bar pressure.
Bundling and packaging
Partner-recognition crests are individually packaged in a 60 by 60 mm rigid board box with a black flock-foam insert and a foil-stamped lid (the firm's wordmark in matte gold or blind-deboss). AML/KCY training badges are bulk-packed in 50-unit kraft card boxes with a printed programme insert; no individual wrapping because the audience is internal. Retiring-partner pieces are presented in a felt-lined wooden box with a hand-stamped provenance card and a thank-you letter from the managing partner.
Runs, lead times, and budgets
MOQ is 50 pieces for hard-enamel partner crests, 100 pieces for stamped brass training pins, and 25 pieces for the debossed leather cloisonné. Lead time 10–14 business days for hard enamel (mould 5 days, production 3–4, plating 2–3), 14–18 days for debossed leather. Budget bands in EUR per unit, 50-piece reference run: hard-enamel crest €4.20–€5.40, stamped brass training pin €1.20–€1.80, debossed leather cloisonné €12–€18.
Cyprus context
Most Cyprus legal merchandise out of the firm's branded-pins programme ships from Nicosia, where the full-service firms cluster around Themistoklis Dervis Avenue. The Cyprus Bar Association (Δικηγορικός Σύλλογος Κύπρου) runs a calendar of training events through Q1 and Q4 where member firms sponsor branded pins and lapel giveaways; the ICB Cyprus and ICA compliance conferences in Limassol add a second wave of Q4 demand. Retiring-partner pieces are usually commissioned in November and December ahead of the firm's January partner-meeting announcement.
Frequently asked questions
Which badge format is right for a partner-recognition cohort?
25 mm hard-enamel pin with polished brass or black nickel finish, polished flat (no dome), Pantone-matched enamel fill within ΔE 2. Mould setup 5 days, production 3–4 days, plating 2–3 days. €4.20–€5.40 per unit at 50 pieces. Individual flock-foam box packaging.
Can you match our firm's primary Pantone within brand-book tolerance?
Yes — Pantone Solid Coated matched to ΔE 2 within the standard enamel palette (about 180 stock colours). For shades outside the stock palette we custom-mix at €40 per Pantone setup charge.
How fast can a 200-piece AML-training order turn around?
10 business days for 20 mm stamped brass with single Pantone enamel fill. We hold stock of the most common brass blanks in Limassol so the lead time starts from the stamping stage, not from the brass blank casting.
Do you supply a debossed leather cloisonné for a retiring partner?
Yes — 40 by 30 mm hide in vegetable-tanned leather on a brass pin back, blind-debossed at 80°C and 30 bar pressure. Lead time 14–18 days because the leather needs a pressing window. €12–€18 per unit at 25 pieces. Felt-lined wooden presentation box included.
Can you engrave a partner's initials on the back of each pin?
Yes — laser engraving on the back plate, 1.5 mm characters minimum. €0.40 per-pin setup charge. Useful for retiring-partner pieces and senior-associate cohorts.
Can you pack the pins in flock-foam presentation boxes with the firm's wordmark?
Yes — 60 by 60 mm rigid board box with black flock-foam insert, lid foil-stamped with the firm's wordmark in matte gold or blind-deboss. €1.20 per box. Bulk packaging for training pins is free.
